Ann Harelkin
December 15th, 1925 – June 7th, 2017
Ann was born at an Eagle Creek homestead and passed away after a brief stay in St. Paul’s Hospital. She received very good care for the last three years in Arbor Villa care home after spending many years in her own home in Saskatoon.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Nick and Helen , by brothers Nick and Alex, by sisters Anita and Lillian, by a sister-in-law Jean and by nephews Danny, Nicky, Harvey, Kenny and Randy.
She is survived by a sister-in-law Doris, a brother-in-law Peter and by many nieces and nehews.
Ann started working in St. Paul’s Hospital at a young age cleaning operating room equipment. She moved to Edmonton to work at a hospital there and then returned to Saskatoon after her mother passed away. Ann then was employed at Royal University Hospital where she worked her way up to be one of the most experienced operating room nurses. She assisited in the first heart transplant operation in Saskatoon.
Ann enjoyed gardening, especially in retirement. She enjoyed attending family gatherings and enjoyed cooking whether for family or for herself, and she prepared excellent meals. She will be missed by several generations of extended family.
