It is with sadness that the family announces that Barry Thompson passed away Thursday, June 15 at Samaritan Place after a long battle with dementia. Barry joined the RCAF at St. Jean PQ as a recruit and served his country in the Armstech division until 1971 when he took early retirement and joined G.E Medical Systems in Ontario. Barry was transferred to Saskatoon in 1979 by G.E Medical Systems to install Saskatoon's very first MRI and to service it as well as G.E Radiology equipment in all three hospitals and various clinics throughout Saskatoon and area as an electronics engineer. Barry was predeceased by his wife Gladys, his parents Elmer and Anne as well as his brother Doug and sister Winnifred. He is survived by his daughters Susan and Rosemary, son Barry and Barry's wife Lonni. Grandchildren Laura Snaddon, Melissa Redford and her husband James Redford Tyler Carr, Jacob Carr and great- grandchildren Jessica, Ryker and Jack.
