Donald Robert Boyle died peacefully on February 16, 2018, in Saskatoon at the age of 86.
Don is survived by his wife Margaret; children: Gary (Linda) and John (Susan): 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Don was born on November 6, 1931, in Dodsland, Saskatchewan, to John and Anna Boyle. He graduated from Jellicoe in 1946 and joined the work force. Don married Margaret, his
“girl next door” in 1960. After moving to Saskatoon, Don began working for Craig's Electric as an electrician. With the arrival of 2 sons, their family was complete, and Don set about teaching them the foundations of life. His children remember him as a man who enjoyed his leisure time and taught life's lessons through silent example.
Don was an accomplished electrician, wood worker and farmer who was generous and witty. He loved spending time outdoors with his family camping and fishing. He was passionate about filling the lives of his grandchildren with positive memories.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 pm, February 24, 2018, at Westwood Funeral Home, with a reception to follow at St. George's Senior Hall. Rev. David Moors will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Don's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Don's name to the Salvation Army at 339 Avenue C South, Saskatoon, SK, S7M 1N5. The family would like to thank the staff at RUH for their tireless efforts providing Don with a high level of comfort in his final days.
