It’s with the most deepest sadness that we gather together to mourn the loss of our amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. On December 10
th
2023. Emilie passed very peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Emilie was survived by: Her Children: Michelle Skipper, Jason Zaritsky(Jaime Norton) and Ann Ratt. Grandchildren: Danielle Zaritsky-Janzen(Jay Janzen), Tyler Skipper(Brooke Boyle) and Adrianna Iula. Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Layne, Courtney, Zacari and Zaylianna. Brother: Carl and Loretta Paul, Sister: Brenda Paul. Also Numerous Aunties, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was predeceased by: Her Husband Zeke Zaritsky, Her parents Josephine and Bernard Paul, Sister Bertha McNiel, Brother Dwayne Paul, Grandparents: Phillip and Bertha Pocha and one daughter in infancy.
Emilie was born on March 29
th
of 1944 in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan on the homestead. Where she grew up and attended elementary school with her uncle’s. In her earlier years she moved to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan for a short period, before moving to Rosthern, Saskatchewan where she met the love of her life Zeke Zaritsky. Emilie and Zeke moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and got married on June 29
th
1969. Emilie would bless her family with three children one who passed away at birth, she loved her kids with everything she had making sure they were respectful, in sports and making the right choices. Emilie was such a wonderful human who was always giving; she would always put someone else first before herself. We want to remember her as loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend to anyone she met. She will forever be a loving soul with the biggest heart, and we will love and miss her dearly!
A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Westwood Funeral Chapel (1402 20th Street West). A Memorial Service for Emilie will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 1:30 pm from Westwood Funeral Chapel (1402 20th Street West).
