Gary was born and raised in Prince Albert, Sk, he was a bus driver with STC (Saskatchewan Transportation Company) for 25+ years. After he retired from bus driving he moved on to truck driving. Gary was married to his beautiful wife Eva Dawson. They both lived in Saskatoon and shared 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Gary loved to work with the Saskatoon Exhibition (North American Midway Entertainment) for a week in the month of August. His favourite hobbies were reading, fishing and canning foods. Gary enjoyed telling stories and visiting with family & friends. He also enjoyed cooking for his family, he passed down several family recipe’s to his children and grandchildren to enjoy. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. He loved family functions, and loved travelling to watch his grandchildren’s extra curricular activities.

Gary most importantly loved spending quality time with his family. Family was everything to him. Gary was a member of the Knights of Columbus Organization, he was a Roman Catholic and attended church regularly.

He enjoyed singing in the church choir along side his wife Eva.

Gary often quoted “I may have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night”. He had a great sense of humour and loved to tell stories and laugh. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
