WEINBERGER, GERALD GREGORY “GERRY”

June 7, 1954 – October 4, 2019

Gerald “Gerry” Gregory Weinberger passed away peacefully on October 4, 2019 at St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care in Saskatoon, Sk.  Gerry is survived by his wife: Paula Weinberger; two children: Gregory (Vanessa) Weinberger, Melissa (Justin) Fellner; grandson: Zack Fellner.  He is also survived by his brother; Keith Weinberger of Swift Current and sister; Glenda (Judy) Weinberger of Swift Current.  Gerry is predeceased by his parents: Gregory and Rose (Wagner) Weinberger and his mother in-law: Rose Arnold.  Gerry Weinberger was born on June 7, 1954 in Leader, Sk.  He was raised in Swift Current, Sk.  Once he became a young adult he moved to Saskatoon, Sk. where he met the love of his life Paula Arnold, and on December 30, 1980 the two were married.  Gerry and Paula had two children; Gregory in 1981 and Melissa in 1985.  Gerry recently retired after working 25 years with the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. He was a hard worker who spent long hours working to provide for his family.  Gerry’s family was everything to him and his family always came first.  He was passionate about gardening and loved the outdoors and always had the nicest yard on the block.  After Gerry retired, he was able to spend a lot of time with his grandson Zack, who loved and adored him.  Gerry was truly a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather with a loving, gentle heart. He will be missed by us all and never forgotten. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Westwood Funeral Chapel, 1402 – 20th Street West, Saskatoon, Sk.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
