Glenn Tim Esakin
June 26th, 1961- May 29th, 2023
Glenn Tim Esakin, also known to us as Uncle Chimo was born on June 26th, 1961 to Tim & Nettie Esakin.
Uncle Chimo grew up in Blaine Lake and resided on the family farm until he moved to Saskatoon to begin his career operating construction equipment. Over the years he worked for the RM of Corman Park, Broda Construction and many others. He really enjoyed the work he did and usually had a story to tell.
In his time away from work he was often found at his home away from home at Martens Lake Regional Park. He enjoyed socializing with friends and as many of you know, also enjoyed the odd beverage on his deck!
Throughout his years in Saskatoon, Uncle Chimo had a few pets, but one that sticks out for us is his little buddy Odie! He took Odie with him everywhere he went and often said “it’s just me & Odie!”
Uncle Chimo loved being with family as well. Evenings and weekends were often spent with his brothers Clarence and Albert, as they held a special place in his heart. A few fond memories include visits at the lake, Christmases spent at the farm, at Uncle Slowko and Auntie Carol’s, or Malanka’s to watch his nieces dance and then years later to watch his great nieces dance.
All of you know he loved music and dancing and was always up for a good party! Next time you hear a good country song, think of him.
Uncle Chimo is survived by his sister, Molly (Norman) Neudorf; sister in laws, Veronica Esakin and Linda Esakin; nephews, Devon (Debbie) Neudorf, Ervin (Lori) Neudorf and Kelly (Shelley) Esakin; nieces, Caralee (Dwight) Chrun and Crystal (Peter) Bzowy; as well as 5 great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Tim & Nettie Esakin; brothers, Albert & Clarence; sisters, Carol & Glenda; brother in law, Slowko; and nephew, Richard.
Thank you for the memories we shared Uncle Chimo.
May you rest peacefully.
