Hazel Violet Cuff
December 20, 1916 – January 13, 2016
The family of Hazel Cuff sadly announces that her heart of gold has stopped beating. Hazel has peacefully left to be with her Lord and Savior. Hazel was the eldest of five girls and was born at the family farm in the Avondale district.
She worked for many farm neighbors and then in Saskatoon. Hazel met Harry George Cuff and they were married on October 14, 1943. They lived in Kinley where they raised their children and farmed in the area. In 1967 they moved to Saskatoon where she continued working until her full retirement. She was very involved in all community activities. Hazel’s love of God kept her very active in the United Church in Kinley and at Mayfair United Church in Saskatoon. She mentored her principles to all of her family. Hazel had a love of gardening, flowers and cooking. Her home was always open to family and friends. On her last day, she had Communion at Oliver Lodge with her daughter by her side, where she smiled and asked to meet the Lord. She is one of the Angels looking down upon us today.
