Jean was born in Ribeauvillé, France May 10, 1923. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew, sons Frank, Daniel and Roger. She is survived by sons Bernie (Rosie), Robert (Audrey) and daughter Christiane (Alvin) as well as 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mom, Dad and infant son Bernie immigrated to Canada late in 1947. They spent the first year at the Dziadyk’s farm in Smuts. They faced many hardships in those early years. Mom was a seamstress and loved sewing for the family, friends and church. She was a CWL member and volunteered many hours for St. Mary’s Church, the CWL Clothing Depot, Knights of Columbus and any where else that asked for help. She was named Mother of the year by the Knights of Columbus. Jean made a difference in all the lives she touched. She loved her children and made great sacrifices to raise them with every advantage she could. She was a great cook and created many unique meals from simple ingredients. Mom passed away peacefully at Preston Extendicare. Thanks the to the staff for the loving and respectful care she received.
