It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jonathan Pozniak on August 19th, 2024. Jon was born August 3rd, 1975 in Saskatoon, SK.
He is survived by his wife and life partner of sixteen years, Kristine Pozniak, daughter Abigayle Antochow Pozniak (Abigayle's mother, Lynette Antochow), and son Ethan Harper, mother, Sharon (Armand), brother Craig (Lisa), sister Sherisse (Darcy); nieces and nephews, Raquel, Justin, Jillian, Olivia and Spencer. Beloved cats, Cersei and Jack.
We would like to thank Kristine's family who embraced him with open arms and treated him as their own. Debbie, Randy (Kelly) ma and pa, Allyson (Oscar), James (Graycee, Aleera) Chris, Tyler. Tyrah and Tristen, Liam and Paxton, and Cooper.
He was predeceased by his father, John Pozniak and his Baba, Jean Pozniak. Jonathan had a passion for fishing, Metallica, gardening and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Throughout his life Jon faced challenges with mental health and addiction. While these challenges were a part of his story, they did not define him; instead they highlight his strength and courage. His playful spirit and comedic talent will be sorely missed but the laughter and joy he brought will forever echo in our hearts. He will always be remembered for the loyalty he had for those he loved.
A celebration of Jon's life will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 29th 2024 at St. George's Senior Citizens Centre. 1235 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK.
