With deep sadness we announce the passing of Leota Peters. Lee was born April 23, 1937 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at St. Pauls Hospital and sadly passed November 1st 2018 at Samaritan Place with her husband and family at her side.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Frank Peters, son Dwayne (Katherine) Peters, son Brad (Kimberley) Peters, her brother Ron (Louise) Krowchuk and son in law Raymond Dueck. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grand children Tanya Lee Peters, Doniven (Sandra) Peters, Jessica Peters, Ashley Scheiber and little man Ethan Peters, great grandchildren Kristian, Cayden Lynden, Aurora and Colton.
Lee is predeceased by her parents Michael and Helen Krowchuk, her brother Michael (Bob ) Krowchuk and her daughter Karen Peters-Dueck. Leota attended Pleasant Hill Elementary school then went on to attend high school at Saskatoon Technical collegiate. Upon completing high school she started working at Paris Cafe on 2nd Avenue for several years where she met Frank and they married on July 21, 1957. Family was always first so they decided that mom would be a home maker. Lee enjoyed her activities such as bowling, camping with her family and friends, fishing, ceramics, cross stitch and many other crafts over the years. She was very involved in her children's activities and was as avid hockey mom cheering on her boys. In 1975 she was a charted member of the Pow City Communicats Radio Club where she attended many jamborees with family and friends. In 1989 the family purchased a cabin at Echo Bay where they spent many weekends together enjoying their time together. She was a woman who put her family first and provided her thoughts and guidance. She will be lovingly missed and words can not explain the hole that she has left in our family, but knowing someday that this hole will close again. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Westwood Funeral Chapel. The family wants to thank all the doctors and staff at the hemodialysis unit at St. Paul's Hospital and our sincere appreciation to the staff at Samaritan Place for taking great care of our Mom.
