With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Linda Kolynchuk.
Linda dedicated 30 years to teaching Grade 2, where she deeply cared for "her" kids. She found joy in seeing her students thrive and was often uplifted by reconnecting with former students who shared fond memories of her classroom.
Born into a musical family, Linda's love for music remained a constant throughout her life. She was a devoted supporter of live music and developed lasting friendships with local musicians in Saskatoon.
Linda was predeceased by her mother, Josephine; father, John; and brother, Patrick. She cherished their memories and often shared stories from their childhood. She is survived by and was especially proud of her nephew, Stuart Kolynchuk, his wife, Daylyn, and their children, Kane and Kinsley; as well as her close relationship with her brother, Ken.
Linda treasured the friendships she formed with colleagues and family friends, including her Aunt Pat and Jeannette Mantie, who were a source of support during her final days. Special thanks are extended to the staff at the Royal University Hospital and Glengarda Hospice for their compassionate care.
As per Linda's wishes, there will be no service. Donations to a charity of your choice in her memory are welcome.
Linda faced her illness with humor and resilience, often saying, "This was NOT my Plan B!" She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
