Sharon Gabriel

Sharon Gabriel passed away peacefully in the early morning of Feburary 3rd at Parkridge Centre care home in Saskatoon at the age of 73.  Sharon the beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was born August 1st, 1951 in Saskatoon.  The only child of Ronald and Kathleen Sully 

She spent the first few years of her life in Biggar then in 1960 moved with her parents to Montgomery Place in Saskatoon.  At the age of 17 she met the love of her life Rodney Gabriel on a blind date.  Two years later on August 29th 1970 they were married.  They soon started a family having 5 children.  Sharon had always wanted a large family because she was an only child.  In the midst of all those changes she made the biggest change of her life when in 1977 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. 

In 1978 Sharon and Rod began in Christian ministry and were partners together for many years until their retirement in 2020.  Her love for Christ and joy in serving others was also evidenced in her loving work as a caregiver, particularly in her many years at The Haven Of Hope in Kinistino.

Sharon is survived by her husband Rod; her children: Shaundra (Kevin) Loranger, Chris Gabriel, Len (Cheryl) Gabriel, Deanna (Jason) Albus, Donna (Kent) Teer; Her grand children: Jesse (Kayla) Loranger, Wyatt (Kayla) Loranger, Orry Loranger, Faith Gabriel, Connor and Parker Gabriel, Cole and Cace Teer; great grandchild Ellianna Loranger; sister inlaws: Buela Gabriel, Lillian Bornyk, Julianne Haines, and many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her parents Ronald and Kathleen Sully, her brother inlaw Donald Gabriel, granddaughter Ella Gabriel and many aunts and uncles. 

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Sharon’s name to Parkridge Centre (110 Gropper Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7M 5N9). A Funeral Service for Sharon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Ave N).
