Doreen was born in Saskatoon, SK to Henk and Maria Looman. She grew up with her three siblings Andrew, Arlene and Mike. In 1975 she married Myron Swityk and began their family having two daughters Erin and Meghan. Doreen had a long career with the Saskatchewan Health Authority holding various positions in accounting and payroll departments. Once her girls finished schooling Doreen and Myron began their many travels. They have very fond memories of all their adventures with family and friends throughout the years. Doreen was very involved in her parish community at St. John Bosco, being a continuous member of the CWL, parish health council, prayer ministry and the adoration of the sacraments. She held onto her faith which only strengthened throughout her life.

Doreen is survived by her husband Myron, daughters Erin (David) Hamel and Meghan (Geoff) Fossenier, her greatly loved grandchildren Faith (Chris), Cameron (Aurora), Julianna, William, Ariane and great grandchild Autumn. Doreen is also survived by her mother Marie, her siblings Andrew (Kim) Looman, Arlene (Pat) Clavelle, Mike (Cindi) Looman along with brother in law Michael (Brenda) Swityk, sister in law Marlene Swityk and many nieces and nephews.

She is pre deceased by her father Henk Looman and in laws Mike and Mary Swityk.

Doreen leaves behind many cherished friends and a close church community who have been a source of strength through these last months.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Hospice at Glengarda or the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
