Theresa Johanna Breit
August 18, 1928 – November 4, 2024
It was with great sadness that we announce our Mom, Theresa Johanna Breit passed away peacefully at Glengarda Hospice in Saskatoon on November 4, 2024.
Theresa was born on August 18, 1928 near Primate, SK to parents John & Johanna Feser.
Theresa moved to Saskatoon when she was 21 years old to start work at St Paul’s Hospital as a nurse’s aid on the children’s ward. During this time she met Bernie who she married on April 29, 1953 in Sudbury, Ont. They then moved back to Saskatoon in 1958 where they raised their family of 8 children.
Theresa was an accomplished seamstress as she sewed so many of our clothes growing up, even wedding dresses. She was a breakfast and pastry cook for many years and loved spending time in her own kitchen cooking and baking for her children and grandchildren. Her homemade cinnamon buns were loved by all. She always had a love for flowers and gardening and playing cards with the family. Theresa sure loved her Toronto Blue Jays and visiting with family and friends!
