Obituary of Wilfred Boyer

Wilfred A. Boyer October 21, 1941 – October 1, 2015 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share in the passing of Wilfred Boyer. Wilfred passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was born on October 21, 1941 in St. Louis and resided in Saskatoon, Sk. Wilfred is survived by his three children: Karen, Brian (Kari) and Rick, one step son Karl Stevens. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Rachelle, Danielle, Tyler, Jazmyn and Zach Nilson, four great grandchildren, four sisters : Frances, Roseanne, Barbara and Debbie, three brothers: Elmer, Oliver and Garry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wilfred was predeceased by his spouse Ida, his parents: Octave and Therese, infant brother Vernon and son Darren. Wilfred was a very happy and loving man, with many hobbies and interests. He attended regular cribbage tournaments and enjoyed spending time at the Anavets Club. He enjoyed watching curling, hockey, baseball, horse races, playing cards and loved listening to Country music and Metis fiddle music.

Funeral

A celebration of his life will be held at Westwood Funeral Chapel (1402 20th St West) on Wednesday October 7, 2015 beginning at 10:30 am. Memorial donations in Wilfred’s memory may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, 801-3100 Steeles Ave. East, Markham Ontario, L3R 8T3.
