Obituary of Marie Agnes Klassen

Agnes's family would like to announce her passing, as she has gone home to be with her creator. She was predeceased by her husband Pete, brothers Willard and Harvey and sisters Doris and Glenna. Agnes is lovingly remembered by her children Gil, Vince, Liz and Neil and seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great - great grandchildren. Agnes is also survived by two brothers, Al (Joyce) and Ray (Iran) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mum was born on the family farm near Watrous, SK to Maxim and Flora Shortt. She loved the farm life and had many interesting stories to tell her family. Mum joined the army to serve her country in WWII as she felt it was her duty. Mum was a tireless volunteer in her church and community until she was 82 years old when she could no longer walk the 14 blocks as a volunteer for the CWL clothing depot at the Friendship Inn. Mum was a selfless, compassionate and loving woman who spoke with equanimity to all people. God Bless you Mum, you will always be in our hearts and we all know you're probably playing bingo right now with your sister-in-law and best friend Ella Shortt, your bingo buddy!
