We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Eleonora (Rochelle) Pasquina Turchenek on April 20th, 2021. She lived a beautiful 72 years of life and was able to celebrate her transition surrounded by loved ones. She is now in a happy and comfortable state and that brings the family comfort and tranquility.

Eleonora leaves behind her sisters, Rocchina (Armondo, deceased) and Carmella (Wilf); son, Dean (Jody) Lorenzo, Dennis Turchenek (deceased); grandchildren, Emma and Nicholas (Lorenzo), and Jordan Kehoe (deceased); great
grandchildren, Ava and Lyla (Kehoe), along with many other family members and friends.

Eleonora was born in Castelmezzano, Potenza, Italy, and moved to Saskatoon at the age of eight where she later started her beautiful family and planted their roots. She gave her all to what she was passionate about in life and always put her family first. She loved being around her friends, tending to her garden, cooking, and taking care of loved ones. Eleonora was very heartfelt about spending time with her grandkids and passing down her knowledge to them. Her greatest accomplishment in life is raising her two sons and spending time with her family. She was hospitalized due to health issues, later fought Covid-19, and then complications from a stroke. She progressively got worse and her body could no longer take everything she was going through. She fought a hard battle and did not give up easily. Her determination is something her family is inspired by and will remember her for, along with many other precious memories.

Eleonora, you are loved by everyone who knew you and we are content knowing you are with Dennis and Jordan again. The sky and stars are much brighter with your beautiful soul up there.

The family apologizes for the limited amounts of guests due to Covid-19. You have been notified if you are a guest attending the funeral. Thank you for your understanding and respect for her behalf and the family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday, April 26, 2021 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
